Celtic history, culture, food and music await at the #FloridaKeys Celtic Festival, Friday, Jan. 11th through Sunday, the 13th, in Marathon. Family friendly, with a musical lineup of Celtic rock and traditional music!

MARATHON, Florida Keys — Celtic history, culture, food and music await visitors and families at the Florida Keys Celtic Festival set for Friday through Sunday, Jan. 11-13, in Marathon.

The musical lineup is to include Celtic rock and traditional music by talents including the Scottish band Albannach, international super group Rathkeltair and The Screaming Orphans. Attendees also can anticipate an encore performance from West of Galway and a premiere performance by acclaimed vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Brendan Nolan and Colin Farrell.

A “Kilts in The Keys” celebration kicks off the weekend featuring Irish music by the West of Galway duo from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Marathon Grill and Ale House located at mile marker (MM) 53.

The musical lineup is to include Celtic rock and traditional music by talents including the Scottish band Albannach.The festivities continue at the Marathon Community Park, MM 49, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Other weekend activities are to include sheepdog herding demonstrations, the bagpipes and drums of the Police Pipe and Drum Corps of Florida, tales from famed storyteller John Miles and Highland athletics in a sanctioned women’s competition and a men’s demonstration. The public is welcome to observe and enjoy all events.

Attendees also can discover Celtic merchandise, children’s activities, food, beverages and local vendors’ temptations including an Irish Tea tent and a Pub tent.

Single-day admission tickets are available for Saturday or Sunday for $10 per person. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Parking is free.
